Why Preschool Counts Kids Hands Picture Research shows that a child’s early care and education play a critical role in a child’s brain development. The developing brain is affected by every experience and interaction, both posi-tive and negative. Positive learning environ-ments for children produce tremendous brain development and positive, nurturing relation-ships at these early ages are essential for healthy social-emotional development.
