Title IX

  • Title IX states: "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."

  • Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal civil rights law that prohibits sex-based discrimination, which includes: a failure to provide equal opportunities, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and other forms of sexual misconduct.

  • Any person may submit a Title IX allegation report involving a BSD student or employee, that reasonably may constitute any form of sex-based discrimination, to the BSD Title IX Coordinator. The report can be submitted at any time of the day by phone or e-mail, including during non-business hours, or in person.
