    WJHS Mission Statement

Inspiring excellence today while developing the leaders of tomorrow.

    WJHS Staff Mantra:
    Inspiring Excellence!

    WJHS Student Mantra:
Excellence in all that we do- Academics, Activities, Arts, and Athletics.

    WJHS Vision

Every Wildcat, equipped for excellence and inspired to positively impact the world.

WJHS will be a school where:

    • A positive, inspirational culture supports and challenges all community members to excel beyond what is measured on standardized tests.

    • Faculty and staff members work collaboratively and take collective responsibility to ensure student learning.

    • Students are inspired to attack authentic, rigorous challenges that they know to be important and thereby acquire the skills that will enable them to succeed in an increasingly innovative world and to help make the world better.

    Why School?
We believe that schools should prepare students for more than standardized tests.

Understanding that the fundamental requirements for our students to be successful in the future are vastly different today than they were years ago, we no longer strive to simply improve upon existing educational operations but rather to transform our practices.

The goal of our transformation, and we believe the purpose of school is to create students ready to excel in an increasingly innovative future.

    Every Wildcat, Future Ready!

    Why teach?

We were all inspired by that teacher.  The luckiest among us can point to numerous favorite teachers that believed in us, encouraged our dreams, and ultimately inspired us to achieve more than we would have imagined. At WJHS, we collectively strive to be that teacher, the favorite teacher that inspires excellence.

Our students deserve it! That’s our “why?”
