Cub Club
Excellent Beginnings at Wildcat Way offers out of school time care which includes full day out care during some days when school is closed. Cub Club is closed on snow days. There is a $60 registration fee. The weekly fee is $60. There is an additional fee for Full Day Outs which is when school is closed and Cub Club is open all day. Full Day Outs are an additional $12 per day added to the base rate for each FDO that your child attends. Cub Club does accept DHS childcare vouchers. If not covered 100% by vouchers, you will be responsible for the remaining portion of your child’s tuition. All tuition fees are due on Monday of each week prior to services rendered and should be paid at the front desk. Parents may pay tuition in advance for the following week or by the month; however, in the event that tuition falls behind, you will be asked to clear your account and your child will not be allowed to attend the after school or full day out program. Parents who drop their child from Cub Club and wish to re-enroll in the same school year will be charged a $60 re-enrollment fee per child, if slots are available. Cub Club will not accept any child who has a balance on their account. In the event that your child is absent on Monday, tuition is due the morning of his/her first day back. Payments should be made out to Excellent Beginnings at Wildcat Way and are accepted in multiple ways. Payment may be mailed to the main office, paid online or via phone (charges an additional 3% fee), bill pay through your bank, paid in person via check, cash or credit card. The main office is open Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm only (summer hours vary). For your convenience, a tuition drop box is at the front entrance of the building. Please do not put cash in the drop box. If a written receipt is needed, payment must be made at the front desk in person. Receipts will not be mailed. Payment is required for all days Cub Club is open, regardless of your child’s attendance. Please write your child’s full name, parent’s full name, driver’s license number, street address, and phone number on all payments. Checks must be written in blue or black ink. Non-Sufficient Funds checks will be assessed a fee and recovered using FARS (Federal Automated Recovery Systems). After two NSF checks, you will be placed on a cash or money order only basis for payment. Cub Club reserves the right to raise fees should it be deemed necessary. Families approved for childcare vouchers are responsible for following all requirements to maintain their arrangement with DHS. Families are responsible for paying all fees incurred before being accepted into the DHS voucher program and for any payments that are due if their arrangement is terminated by DHS. If DHS does not cover your child’s payment in full, your percentage payment is required on Monday morning of each week, or your child will not be authorized to attend. DHS will only pay for a limited number of absences per month and in a trimester. If your child misses more than the allotted number of days, Excellent Beginnings at Wildcat Way reserves the right to dis-enroll the child from the Pre-K Center and Cub Club. Cub Club is open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm during some breaks. Be sure to consult this school year’s Excellent Beginnings at Wildcat Way calendar for detailed information on dates.
Cub Club Late Charges: A $10 late fee will be added to accounts if payment is not made on Monday morning on the week prior to service. A late pick-up fee of $1 for every minute will be charged to parents of children who are picked up after 5:30 p.m. regardless of reason for late pick-up. At 6:00 p.m., if a parent or emergency contact has not been located, the Bentonville Police Department may be contacted for assistance. Cub Club teachers are only scheduled to work until 5:30 p.m., therefore in the event a child is repeatedly (more than 3 times) picked up after 5:30 p.m., it is grounds for dismissal from the out of school time program. The school clock is the time that is logged at arrival and departure and the staff will document on the sign in and out sheet if the written time differs from the school clock.
Cub Club Dismissal Routine: Parents are expected to arrive in time to gather all of their child's possessions that will be going home with them and leave the center by 5:30 p.m. If parents wish to stay and observe, chat with other parents, etc., they should allow extra time before closing time. This policy allows caregivers to prepare the room for the next day and leave the center on time. Any arrangements other than those stated above must be authorized by the Site Supervisor with only emergencies and extreme hardship taken into consideration.
