Dr. Janet Schwanhausser

Dr. Janet Schwanhausser serves Bentonville Schools as Deputy Superintendent & CFO.  She cut her teeth early on, in the classroom, as a beloved middle school teacher but quickly rose through the ranks to principal and other administrative roles.  Dr. Schwanhausser oversees a daily operating budget of more than $200 million but can tell you, down to the penny, what was spent on flooring in the district’s last building.  Her uncanny attention to detail combined with an unyielding commitment to integrity makes her the perfect steward of taxpayer monies.  She is also the creator of our Every Kid, Every Day program which is our promise that no student is ever denied a hot meal because of inability to pay.
