Education: BA, Communications, Mariette College (Ohio)
My advice for students is to read more. You should be reading books, magazine articles and newspapers. It improves your intellect and your verbal skills. You should never, ever confuse staring at that phone all day as really reading. Put the phone down and work on the real communication skills you will need in the future to step into the workforce. You are coming into a very competitive world. Don't ever lose sight of that harsh reality. You need to be ready to compete.
Joe Quinn and his wife, Shannon, moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2006 after Joe worked in Little Rock as Governor Mike Huckabee's Director of Policy. Their son, Jimmy, graduated from BHS and now studies business at the University of Arkansas. Their daughter, Ava, is a junior at BHS. Joe appreciates the culture in Bentonville Schools evident in his daughter's diverse group of friends. Joe says this makes him realize our responsibility for giving all children a great education.
