A Note from the Director:
The Bentonville Schools Ignite Professional Studies Program represents the collaboration of education, business, and community, providing students with a unique, immersive experience, resulting in highly skilled, adaptable, global innovators and leaders. We execute this through our 5 Core Values:
Profession-Based Learning - Ignite Instructors create positive learning experiences through community-connected collaborations with business/community partners.
Responsiveness - The Ignite team seeks out ongoing innovation in curriculum development and offerings of programs and services based on business and community needs in Northwest Arkansas and beyond.
Self-Discovery and Exploration - Ignite students realize their strengths and interests by experiencing potential professions and building a professional network through projects, class activities, and work experiences. This allows Ignite students to make informed decisions about their future while learning to exhibit self-leadership.
Professional Skills Development - Unique experiences allow Ignite students to cultivate essential professional skills such as communication, collaboration, leadership of self and others, entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, problem solving, and time management. These skills are critical to providing students with a competitive advantage in their post-secondary education and professional careers.
Entrepreneurial Mindset - Ignite Instructors create an environment where creative thinking and problem solving are encouraged. An innovative, positive learning culture is key to fostering entrepreneurial thinking.
The mission of Bentonville Schools is a commitment to excellence in all we do through innovative, inspiring learning experiences. At Ignite, we carry out that mission by creating real, relevant learning experiences that help students make more informed decisions about their future and prepare them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
