State Testing Begins Soon! Our students and teachers have worked very hard all year and we're excited for them to show what they know! Testing Dates: Kindergarten: April 30, May 1, May 2 1st Grade: April 25, April 28, April 29 2nd Grade: April 22, April 23, April 24 3rd Grade: May 5, May 6, May 7, May 8 4th Grade: May 5, May 6, May 7, May 8 To help support your student during state testing: --Ensure they are at school on time and remain at school on testing days. Please try to avoid checkouts and appointments on testing days if possible. --Feed your student a nutritious breakfast, or get them to school a little early so we can feed them breakfast. --Encourage them to do their best!

Dear Osage Creek Families, We are honored to have many veterans in our otter family. We cannot adequately express our gratitude to the brave men and women who have served our country. In honor of Veterans Day, we have a few opportunities for our students and families to honor our heroes: Our 2nd grade is presenting a patriotic themed musical performance on Thursday, November 7th at 6:00 pm at Osage Creek Elementary. We invite all veterans and families to attend. Any Osage Creek student can make a poster or sign to honor a veteran in their life and we will hang this tribute in our school. Posters/signs can be brought to the office any time November 5th-11th. Osage Creek is partnering with Jersey Mikes to offer lunch to our veterans. All veterans are invited to stop by Jersey Mikes (at the corner of SW I Street and SW Regional Airport Blvd) on their way to Osage Creek to eat lunch with their otter on Monday, November 11th during their student’s scheduled lunch time. Check in at the front office as usual. Remember to bring your identification and ensure the adult is listed on the student’s contact list. Call our office if you have any questions: 479-286-9500. Today was Cove reveal day at Osage Creek! Our students learned which cove they are a member of and met with their cove-mates! It was a wonderful morning of connection and arts integration!

Families, let's get ready for Mental Health Awareness Week next week! One of the ways we want to celebrate is to offer you an opportunity to talk to your kids about their mental health. Sometimes a platform like this can be a way for adults to start a conversation with their child(ren). Asking your student 'What Zone are you in right now: red, yellow, green, or blue?' is an opportunity for you to learn some of how we talk about our emotions at Osage Creek! If you are interested in mental health resources like parenting classes, school based mental health therapy, or health insurance offerings in our area please email Shannon Finer at sfiner@bentonvillek12.org.
