Bentonville Schools Gold Rush and the Barker Running Club
We are training for the Bentonville Public School Foundation Gold Rush Race on Friday, April 28th.
● We will begin Tuesday March 28h and continue through Thursday April 27th.
● We will meet & train every Tuesday & Thursday from 2:50 to 3:30 pm (Starting after Spring Break).
● Runners will meet in Mr. Schoeller’s room (Room 517) and be picked up out front of the building promptly at 3:30.
● Registration for the Gold Rush is $15 (5k) or $10 (Fun Run) for students (before April 1st). Each runner must be registered individually. Register at www.goldrush5k.com
● Please complete the online registration and return your child’s “Health History and Release of
Liability Form” by March 27th.
● Please wear appropriate running apparel to school & have a water bottle on Run Club days.
● Please sign up for Remind alerts in order to receive important announcements or in case we need to cancel. Text message the number “81010” with the message “@barkerru” or use the code “barkerru” with the Remind app.
● The inclement weather plan is to run inside the gym on rainy days.
