See you on Tuesday!

It's not too late to order a yearbook!

Last night, we proudly presented the 2026 Vaughn STEM Scholarship to a very deserving recipient, Danica Jones. She plans to pursue a career in nursing at Harding University. We are especially proud of one of our own, Adaline Evans, for representing our school and presenting the scholarship on behalf of the students who worked so hard to raise the funds for this award.

We are excited to welcome our future Vaughn Eagles!
If your child will be starting kindergarten at Vaughn Elementary this fall, we invite you to join us for Kindergarten Night on Tuesday, May 12. This is a great opportunity for your child to explore the school, meet our kindergarten teachers, and experience hands-on activities in a fun and welcoming environment.
Parents of 2026-2027 Kindergarten students, please check your email for your scheduled time and additional details.
We can’t wait to meet our newest Eagles and their families!

Tomorrow is Pirate Day in honor of Dan Santat's visit!

Kindergarten students have been learning about Earth's resources, the importance of keeping our planet clean, and the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
Mrs. Stamps' class took their learning outside today and worked collaboratively to create worm habitats! By layering soil, grass/leaves, and water in jars, they are learning how worms help Earth by breaking down materials to support healthy soil.
These habitats will stay in the classroom so students can continue to observe, ask questions, and learn over time. We are so proud of their teamwork and curiosity!

Olympic Spirit Day on Friday in honor of the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics!

On Friday, our students and staff leaned into cozy comfort while reflecting on what helps them feel cozy, calm, and ready to learn. From warm clothes to kind friends and caring adults, we loved hearing their thoughtful responses and capturing these joyful moments.

A huge thank you to Two Friends Books for their incredible generosity and support of our students at VES.
Thanks to their Book Angel Tree and the many community members who participated, our library received a wonderful donation today. We are so grateful for a locally owned bookstore that invests in schools and readers in such a meaningful way.
Mrs. Halbmaier can't wait to head to the store and select new titles that will soon be in the hands of our Eagles. This partnership is a perfect example of how community support helps us grow strong readers.
