Our 6th grade students had a special learning experience yesterday with a virtual author visit from New York Times bestselling author Lauren Wolk!
After reading the Newbery Honor Book Wolf Hollow last semester, students were able to deepen their understanding of the novel by hearing directly from the author about her writing process, themes, and inspiration. Experiences like this help bring literature to life, strengthen comprehension, and foster a love of reading by connecting classroom learning to real-world voices.
What an exciting opportunity to learn from the author behind a book our students know so well!
