Congratulations to the 5th-grade Visual Art student Annabelle Hardin!
This year's exhibition expands to four works per grade, Kindergarten through 12th grade, with a total of 52 works in the selection.
"Now in its 65th year, the Young Arkansas Artists (YAA) exhibition continues its tradition of honoring the imagination and talent of students and educators across the state. This milestone recognizes generations of young artists whose work reveals the exploration and determination that begin in the classroom and extend far beyond it. The exhibition also highlights Arkansas art educators, who play a central role in this legacy. Their guidance shapes students’ skills, nurtures creativity, and inspires young artists to pursue their ideas with confidence. Together, the artworks selected each year demonstrate the breadth of artistic expression found throughout Arkansas and the innovative, thoughtful approaches students bring to every medium."

5th grade students took our arguments to the courtroom last week. Each lawyer team represented either the prosecution or defense of programs and people from our text, "Orphan Train Rider." They also served on the jury and had to analyze responses for clear points, evidence, and explanations. #MultiSensoryLearning #DepthOfKnowledge #CultureForLearning

🚍💛 Our Student Council loved celebrating Bus Appreciation Week! We are so thankful for the incredible bus drivers who safely get our students to and from school each day. Thank you for all you do for our school community! 🚌👏 #uknighted

Team Excalibur students were making paper during Knight Time after reading and analyzing a text about how to do it. We also learned about how people in Ancient Egypt used papyrus to make paper. #MultiSensoryLearning #DepthOfKnowledge #CultureForLearning

Cardboard, creativity, and a whole lot of fun! 📦✨ Our students brought their A-game to "Fort Knight," building some epic cardboard fortresses. A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for facilitating such a great night of teamwork and imagination! 🏰#UKnighted

Who knew a pile of cardboard boxes could turn into so much personality? The creativity is flowing through Mrs. Volner’s art room and her students really brought these characters to life! 🎨 #UKnighted #CreativeMinds
