Chuck Close is an accomplished American artist who is dyslexic and has prosopagnosia (face blindness). Mr. Close uses an unusual gridding method to create art that helps him remember the faces of loved ones. These ladies just solved the first image in a challenging puzzle that features six different self-portraits of the artist. When we persist, we can do hard things. We are looking forward to solving the next image.

Our Ladies and Gentlemen Club members enjoyed a walking field trip to Bentonville City Hall this week to meet with Mayor Stephanie Orman and Lisa Babington, her assistant. Students toured City Hall and learned what the mayor does and how she interacts with all her constituents. Mayor Orman presented each student with a certificate that stated her appreciation for the students' interest in understanding the importance of civility in government and etiquette in interactions with others.

Noah Washington, University of Arkansas scholar and creator of "The Ridin' Around Show", visited our Film and Editing Club (sponsored by Mrs. Hoisington and Mr. Sheehan) and our Film and Editing Yearbook Club (sponsored by Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Rowan). Many of our students want to be YouTube Content Creators, and Mr. Washington shared his journey as a successful content creator and entrepreneur. It's time for the Book Fair! The book fair will be open on Monday, Sept. 30th - Thursday, Oct. 3rd from 7:35am-2:50pm & Friday, Oct. 4th from 7:35am-12 noon.
6th grade Advanced Math students practiced their equivalent ratio skills by finding the ratio of "business" to "party" on some truly epic mullets. Because at Old High, we know how to mix a little business with a whole lot of party!
