February 2, 2024, National Wear Red Day® is the icon day of American Heart Month. On the first Friday in February, join us as we wear red and help raise awareness of one of the No. 1 killers – cardiovascular disease.

The Lincoln Junior High band and choirs performed for our 5th grade students to help them when choosing which program to join for their 6th grade year. It was such a treat to see the students perform and even more of a treat to see some of our previous Old High Students so grown and successful!

We kicked off the new semester reviewing informational text skills with a perspective detective room transformation. Acting as detectives, students are analyzing texts and identifying authors' perspectives to determine which author had the strongest motive to commit the malicious - and hypothetical - crime of taking away students' access to video games!

Parent University was designed to help parents learn about course selection and career planning in our high schools. Join us. We are glad to meet you and answer your questions. Most sessions are designed for parents of 8th graders. New sessions have been added this year for parents of students in grades 5-7 who want overview information earlier. And, some sessions are more pertinent for students in grades 9-11. All are welcome. Families may attend either evening at BHS or BWHS. Both high schools will have leaders present at both events.
