In honor of graduation tomorrow, we want to honor Preston Pschierer, BHS graduate and TJ alumnus. Preston was the winner of one of our PTO scholarships and he visited TJ yesterday to walk down memory lane and inspire our Tigers along their educational journey. We are proud of you, Preston!
Our kindergarteners recently had the opportunity to "host" real live caterpillars in their classrooms and witness their transformation into beautiful butterflies. They released the butterflies onto our playground. We love springtime at TJ!
Students recently explored ancient Egypt in Global Connections. Across their four activity rotations, students had a chance to build it, float it, decode it, and dig it. Can you guess which station was their favorite? (Hint: It involved playing the role of archaeologist and digging in the sand for ancient artifacts!)
Happy School Nurse Week! Thank you to Nurse Jibbi and Nurse Deedra for keeping our TJ Tigers safe and healthy at school each day. These two ladies are the best!
Today is national School Lunch Hero Day! Join us in celebrating our wonderful cafeteria crew. They keep a smile on our faces and a warm meal in our tummies!
Join us at Arvest Ballpark tonight as our TJ Tigers sing the National Anthem on the field before the game. Tickets can be purchased at the gate tonight if you didn't pre-order. Students should meet Mrs. Bush in the community room at 6:20. Go Naturals!
Students recently celebrated National Parks Week in Global Connections! In honor of the park rangers who look after these important places, kindergarten through second grade students made their very own ranger vest. We loved seeing the creativity and personality - from pockets to hold snacks and water bottles to first aid kits, our TJ Tigers definitely know what it means to apply the 'plan and prepare' principle of Leave No Trace.
A great part of our students' day at TJ is activity! Give a big hooray for our activity team: Mrs. McConnell (library), Mrs. Bush (music), Mrs. Beaird (library aide), Mrs. Shock (global connections), Mrs. Gibson (digital literacy), Mrs. Baker (art), and Ms. Neal (PE)!
Thank you to our TJ Instructional Assistants for all of their hard work. They are the most flexible staff members you've ever met, and they take on every task with a smile!

You may think Mrs. Carlson and Mrs. Rogers are the "bosses" at TJ, but it's really our front office ladies who keep this ship afloat! Happy Administrative Professionals Day to Mrs. Julie (registrar), Ms. Donna (bookkeeper), and Mrs. Terri (attendance clerk). Thank you for keeping our front office and our school running smoothly!

In preparation for Bike to School Week (4/29-5/3), Bentonville Schools is hosting "Bike Rodeos" this week. All ages are welcome, and families may attend a workshop at any of the campuses shown on the flyer for each date. While at the "rodeo" families will have the option to choose between two workshops: "How to Pedal" and "Leading a Bike Group." Check out the graphic below for more details and save the date for Bike to School Week from April 29th through May 3rd.
