Shannon says "With this piece, I wanted to explore the art of handmade music posters from the 60s/70s, and included designs often used in American traditional tattoos. I used alcohol markers and colored pencils to create this original design."

Students in the Outdoor Pursuits class explored the Ozark Highlands Nature Center, engaging in hands-on learning through educational exhibits, studying alligator behavior and furbearing animal hides, creating animal track soaps, and applying archery skills in a friendly competition. Thank you Coach Treat and Coach Cherico for all that you do for our students!

Alee Zehner and Tabitha Wise both completed their bust projects in Ceramics 2 recently and they are awesome! We'd like to know what you think about our awesome student's work here at BHS. Please comment!

Bentonville JV and Varsity dance teams competed this weekend on our home court, and both teams won 1st place in the pom, high kick, and jazz categories along with being named Overall High Point Grand Champions for their respective divisions!

Additionally, the varsity Golden Tamers won the "technique" award and "creative choreography" award. The girls represented our school and program with excellence and grace, and we are so proud of their success.

Our Freshmen received 1st in pom and high kick, and 2nd in jazz, along with receiving the "choreography" award!

They are coached by Kayle Grisham and Megan Walbe.

Claire Branscum, from Blakeman's Fine Jewelry and former owner of Kate Austin Collective, spoke with the Retail Business and Small Business Operations students this week! She shared her expertise within the retail and business industries. Thank you for sharing your story!

Our students had an amazing visit from AirEvac Lifeteam! BHS Introduction to Healthcare students learned about exciting careers in EMS, Nursing, and Flight Medicine — and even got hands-on experience with life-saving skills.

Students earned their Stop the Bleed certification and practiced using advanced tools like an Intraosseous Vascular drill and intubation equipment.

A huge thank you to AirEvac for inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Bringing local history to life! Bentonville High School's Introduction to Healthcare students had a special guest speaker today: Sirena Evans from Pea Ridge National Military Park.

She spoke about Civil War medicine and its unique connection to our own community. By sharing authentic examples of pharmaceuticals and a Civil War medical kit, Ms. Evans gave our students a powerful look into the medical practices of the past, from daily remedies to field procedures. It was a memorable lesson that highlights how history and healthcare are intertwined. SENIORS! Last Call Senior Portraits are next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 20th and 21st) in the ROAR room. There isn't a sign up for times. Seniors should stick to the following schedule based on last names but can come whenever if these times do not work.

OA = Any senior needing a picture
1st = A-G
2nd = H-P
3rd = R-Z
4th = Any senior needing a picture

Tuesday, 21 October
OB = Any senior needing a picture
5th = A-G
6th = H-P
7th = R-Z
8th = Any senior needing a picture
