Child Growth & Development students explored how children grow by practicing different types of play: sensory-motor, passive, skill mastery, and active play. Students learned that playing is how children learn, build skills, and discover the world!


Only students who have NWACC Spring 2026 courses listed on their SSPs and have a specific NWACC course or an NWACC App Request placeholder on their schedule can register for Spring NWACC courses. These students received an email with additional registration details.


Last week BHS students had the privilege to hear from supply chain professionals from our region on the topic of "Build or Buy? Supply Chain Innovations". The engagement provided key insights to BHS business and technology students interested in the dynamic field of supply chain management.

Strawbridge Studios will be on campus Wednesday, September 3rd and Thursday, September 4th to take 9th, 10th, and 11th grade pictures. Students will mostly go to the Arend Arts Center during their English classes. Students who do not have an English class can go during 1st or 6th periods.
These picture days are NOT FOR SENIORS. Last call senior portraits will be October 20th and 21st in the ROAR room. There is no sign up. Seniors will be called alphabetically throughout the day.

IB Math students went to the Carnival this week! Students designed and built their Carnival games. This was a Defined Learning Project covering theoretical versus experimental probability.


PSAT will be administered for free to all 10th and 11th-graders.
9th graders can CHOOSE to take it for $18.
Students in grades 10 and 11 are automatically registered for the test and do not need to complete any forms.

Students in Food Safety & Nutrition put their skills to the test in our Crudité Lab! They practiced proper handwashing, glove use, and safe food handling while chopping and plating fresh fruits and vegetables.
A glow light hand check helped reinforce safety standards, and the final crudité display showcased both safety and creativity.

On September16, you can join admissions representatives from dozens of colleges and universities to learn about holistic admissions, making a college list, and applying for admission and financial aid. The STORY program will feature a 40-minute general admissions information session followed by an 80-minute college fair featuring highly selective research universities, flagship public institutions, and liberal arts colleges from around the country.
