"Locked in and on target! 🎯🔥 Bentonville Outdoor Pursuits students take on the trap shooting event at the Benton County Quail Barn, building skills and confidence one shot at a time.
BHS DECA students certainly showed out this past week in Hot Springs, AR where students competed in 38 various events ranging from casestudy roleplays, to six month long business operations research projectes, and franchise business proposals. 72 of our students placed in the top 3 of there events, a remarkable accomplishment by our outstanding group of rising professionals. We look forward to supporting these students as they pursue recognition on the international stage later this spring!
We also want to congratulate Manvitha Narasimhan and Rishi Saam on being elected as state officers for DECA Arkansas. Your leadership, drive, and desire to grow DECA in our school and now at the state level is a true testament to your dedication to excellence. All 11th graders will take the ACT on Tuesday, February 25.
Due to inclement weather, the February 20 Parent/Teacher Conferences will not be offered in-person.
However, your student's teachers will be emailing you soon about how to contact them if you wish to meet via phone call or Google Meet at a later date.
The next in-person conferences will occur on April 15.
On February 25, ALL Juniors will take the ACT... ALL other students will attend class as normal.
Juniors: Bring Student ID, Calculator and Number 2 Pencils
ACT Check In begins at 8:45am

We celebrated CTE month by having three industry guests come to BHS to observe what we are doing in three different computer science classrooms. Students showed our guests computer programs/games they developed, explained their development strategy, and had them user test their works of art. Special thanks to Messers. BHS Foundations of Healthcare students experienced the amazing world of ultrasound thanks to Dr. Kevin Phelan, a neurobiologist with UAMS! He explained how this incredible technology works and brought a portable ultrasound machine, giving students the chance to see real organs and body systems in action. Dr. Phelan also highlighted the diverse medical professions that utilize ultrasound for patient diagnostics. Huge thanks to the Bentonville Fire Department for an incredible hands-on learning experience with our Foundations of Healthcare students! Students learned about pre-hospital emergency care, mastering intubation techniques and got up close with a Life Pak monitor/defibrillator. We also learned crucial fire safety tips and how to use a fire extinguisher.
