Today, we had some very special guests visit our building. We started our morning off with a visit from Commissioner Johnny Key and members of the Arkansas State Board of Education. They visited our building to learn more about our staff's implementation of the Science of Reading (RISE) as well as our inclusive teaching practices. Next, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 600 grandparents to our building for our Grandparents' luncheon. It was an honor to celebrate and thank them for sharing their precious little owls with us.
Happy 1st day of the 2022-2023 school year! Post your back to school pictures in the comments section on our Facebook feed. Today is going to be a GREAT day! #ESEDareToBeGreat
We are so excited to welcome all of our owls back into our nest tomorrow! What are you most excited for this school year? Here are some quick reminders to prepare you for the 1st day of school! *Car riders, please be patient with us. Not only will it take a couple of weeks to establish our dismissal routine, but we are anticipating more car riders than ever this year. The car line will be long and can take up to an hour or longer to get through while we teach our students the dismissal routine. If you would like to sign up for bus service, please reach out to Mrs. Tammy in the office. *Send a water bottle and snack with your child. *2nd-4th graders charge chromebooks. *Doors open at 7 A.M. and tardy bell will ring at 7:30 A.M.
Can you believe we only have two more days until we kick off our 1st day of the 2022-2023 school year together?! We are ready to have all of our little owls back in their nest here at ESE on Monday, August 15th. As we continue counting down the days to the first day of school, we are excited to share some helpful hints to make the car-rider line flow smoothly in the morning and afternoon. ESE Families - you received an email today with a link to an informational car-rider video. Go check it out! Traffic will be heavy for the first few days of school. Please leave early, give yourself plenty of extra time, and be patient. Expect heavy traffic next week. You will also encounter many children walking to class, so be on the lookout for them. Expect school buses to be delayed. The first week of school is always a period of adjustment for our bus drivers and students alike. Students will be late getting to school and home, but we will work through delays quickly. Remember, children will be boarding and exiting school buses. Watch for them and never go around or pass a stopped school bus. Put away your cell phone in school zones and parking lots. Car rider staff need your full attention to keep all students safe. With an anticipated 500+ car riders, we encourage bus ridership. Check out the new transportation system our buses are using: Bentonville Bus System. We are looking forward to starting this school year and seeing the smiling faces we have missed so much.
Meet our 3rd and 4th-grade teams! Both teams are looking forward to getting to learn and grow with their owlets. Are you excited to meet your child’s teacher tomorrow at the open house? The Evening Star staff can’t wait to see all of your smiling faces!
We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Open House on Thursday, August 11th. Please attend your child's grade level Open House time based on the first intial of your child's last name.
