Choose Love
Today, we had some very special guests visit our building. We started our morning off with a visit from Commissioner Johnny Key and members of the Arkansas State Board of Education. They visited our building to learn more about our staff's implementation of the Science of Reading (RISE) as well as our inclusive teaching practices. Next, we had the pleasure of welcoming over 600 grandparents to our building for our Grandparents' luncheon. It was an honor to celebrate and thank them for sharing their precious little owls with us.

RISE Award Winners
Can you believe we only have two more days until we kick off our 1st day of the 2022-2023 school year together?! We are ready to have all of our little owls back in their nest here at ESE on Monday, August 15th. As we continue counting down the days to the first day of school, we are excited to share some helpful hints to make the car-rider line flow smoothly in the morning and afternoon. ESE Families - you received an email today with a link to an informational car-rider video. Go check it out!  Traffic will be heavy for the first few days of school. Please leave early, give yourself plenty of extra time, and be patient. Expect heavy traffic next week. You will also encounter many children walking to class, so be on the lookout for them. Expect school buses to be delayed. The first week of school is always a period of adjustment for our bus drivers and students alike. Students will be late getting to school and home, but we will work through delays quickly. Remember, children will be boarding and exiting school buses. Watch for them and never go around or pass a stopped school bus. Put away your cell phone in school zones and parking lots. Car rider staff need your full attention to keep all students safe. With an anticipated 500+ car riders, we encourage bus ridership. Check out the new transportation system our buses are using: Bentonville Bus System. We are looking forward to starting this school year and seeing the smiling faces we have missed so much.
