Congratulations to these 5th and 6th graders whose artwork was accepted by Celebrating Art to be published in their Fall 2024 Art Book, which is a selective anthology of student artwork from across the country. The top 45% of total entries are invited to be published in this book. Such an honor for these young artists!

Thank you to families and the Thea Foundation for donating to our classroom project “Wobble and Weave.” We were able to buy wobble boards to help students move their bodies in positive ways while working on art with their hands.
Team Champions had 35 students participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Invitational sponsored by Walmart. Each student submitted an essay detailing an initiative they'd like to begin in our school or community in order to continue Dr. King’s legacy of leading with courage, demonstrating acceptance, and creating a more equitable environment for all!

Team Excalibur conducted character autopsies by digging deeper into our text, “Home of the Brave.”

Fifth grade students have finished reading the book "Home of the Brave" and celebrated with a character autopsy! Students were tasked with peeling back the layers of the main character of the novel and providing text evidence to support their analysis.
