Join us next week for TJ Strong Choices Week!

The grand opening of our TJ school store is tomorrow and we you don't want to miss it! Get here early to be sure you're in line before 7:20!

Meet us on the front lawn this evening for the PTO Fall Festival! We can't wait to see you!

Alaska Day is October 18th, so our students recently took a 'trip' to America's largest state via Global Connections to learn more about its landforms, wildlife, and native people. And since Alaska is home to the largest bear population in the United States, we decided to grow our own! Students followed the scientific process to determine how their (gummy) bears would react to four different solutions. They conducted two observations over the course of the day and were amazed by the results. Who knew osmosis was so cool?!

During classroom guidance this month, Mrs. Moore will be discussing bullying. Please talk to your student about the difference between rude, mean, and bullying. We are all striving to be kind TJ Tigers!

October is National Physical Therapy Month! We're thankful to have our physical therapist, Ms. Becerra, as a member of our TJ tiger family!

October is Principal Appreciation Month! Thank you, Mrs. Carlson, for all you do for our TJ students, staff, and families. We appreciate your leadership!

Our word of the month is self-control. Self-control is choosing to do what's best even when you don't want to.

Next week is Bike to School Week! Enjoy the beautiful weather, get some exercise, and make your way on two wheels to TJ. You can even join our bike safety meeting at 7:30am on Monday 10/7. We'll see you there!

Happy School Custodian Appreciation Day to Mr. Alan! Thanks for all you do to keep TJ looking its best!

Beat the Bell is back! Be here and IN YOUR SEAT when the bell rings at 7:30 for a chance to win a prize!

Students recently took a tour of landforms - the naturally occurring features on the Earth's surface - in Global Connections. Many were surprised to learn that we live on a plateau! Then, we conducted a science experiment to demonstrate how weathering, erosion, and deposition work together to carve out many of these impressive features. Finally, students had the option to build a landform landscape using Play-Doh or to draw a landform dinosaur. Take a look!
