Bonjour! Our TJ Tigers recently paid a 'visit' to fashionable and food-forward France during Global Connections. Third and fourth grade students used all of their senses to explore the world of French cheese, while the iconic Eiffel Tower served as the inspiration for some mixed-media art (second grade) and Lego engineering (kindergarten and first grade).

It's Bus Driver Appreciation Week! Let's show our awesome TJ bus drivers how much we appreciate them with a note of thanks or a small token of appreciation!

Congrats to Ms. Price, Teacher of the Year, and Mrs. Webber, Classified Staff of the Year! These staff members were selected by our TJ staff, and their awards are well deserved.

Our Spring Book Fair is next week! Students may shop at their library time during family nights. Family nights are Tuesday 3:00-6:30 and Thursday 3:00-5:00.

Next week is our Parent/Teacher Conference week. If you haven't signed up yet, please reach out to your child's teacher. We can't wait to share good news about your child with you!

Congratulations to these TJ students on the Character Competition for All Bentonville Reads! The winners will get $20 to spend at the Book Fair the week of March 11th. Way to go TJ Tigers!

Our 2nd through 4th grade students participated in the Penny Boat Challenge after learning about the famous floating markets in Thailand from Mrs. Shock in Global Connections. Although these Thai boats are small and narrow, they can carry a lot. Students worked in teams to design a foil boat and develop a strategy around how they would distribute weight from pennies. The winning design - which held 182 pennies - came from Mrs. Ramsey's 4th grade class!

Our March character word of the month is PEACE. Peace means caring more about each other than winning an argument.

Join us for the TJ Color Run 2024!

Spread the word to any educators you know. We'd love to see them at our Bentonville Career Fair!

TJ Yearbooks are available for order!

We will make up a snow day on Monday, Feb. 19. We can't wait to see all of our TJ Tigers at school that day!

We hope your family is enjoying the All Bentonville Reads Book- "A Boy Called Bat." Check out the graphic below regarding our upcoming dress up days that correspond to the book.

Last week our third-grade students did a "Fossil Dig" as an extension to their learning regarding Evidence of Past Ecosystems. They also did a fun hands-on culminating activity to wrap up their Light & Sound unit.

Join us for class Valentine parties on 2/14. Parents, remember your ID to sign in at the office!

Celebrate the 100th day of school with us on February 7! Wear a shirt with 100 items on it, dress like a 100-year-old person, or wear camo since you've survived 100 days.

Happy School Counselors' Week to Mrs. Moore and Ms. Murdock! We appreciate your hard work and your support of our TJ Tigers.

In Global Connections, students recently learned about the world's largest reef system - Australia's Great Barrier Reef! Our second through fourth graders conducted a science experiment to learn more about the concept of density, while our kinder and first grade students used their knowledge (and imagination!) to create their own reef landscape.

Our 2nd graders enjoyed the beautiful weather today while creating number lines outside!
