We wanted to take a minute to recognize Officer Cook. He's here not only keeping our school safe but also building positive relationships with our students. We appreciate you!

Just a reminder- tomorrow is Dot Day!

Mrs. Perez's 4th graders had a blast exploring the sensory properties of guava! It was an eye-opening experience, and they learned that science can be as delicious as it is educational.

A huge shout out to the 162 volunteers that went through our training the past few weeks. If you are interested in volunteering at Vaughn, it is a requirement that you do the training. Please reach out to our counselor, msnow@bentonvillek12.org if you missed the opportunity. Thank you for your support!

Literacy integration with technology and communication leads to STEM learning in Mrs. Peeler’s room! Students constructed models with Mr. Potato Head to review parts of the body and identified words on their iPads to build their communication.

September's Big Idea for the Month is Friendship. Take some time this month to talk to your child about what it means to be a good friend. Each Month, a character quality is highlighted by our counselors and teachers using the program Core Essential Values.

Our 3rd grade scientists have been exploring the fascinating journey of plant growth. They've been hands-on, planting seeds, nurturing them, and closely observing the changes that take place over time. At Vaughn, we're not just growing plants; we're also budding data scientists! 📊📈 Students have been learning how to collect, organize, and analyze their data. They are also developing critical thinking skills as they ask questions, make predictions, and seek answers through experimentation.
They're not just learning about plants; they're learning how to think like scientists!

Get ready to embark on a colorful and creative journey as we join the celebration of Dot Day on Sept. 15th. What's Dot Day, you ask?
