WJHS achieved more growth on the Math ACT Aspire than any middle school or junior high in the state! We also were number two in the state for overall growth on the ACT Aspire for middle level schools! Congrats to our friends at LJHS for their awesome growth as well! We are so proud of our students and teachers, with amazing support from home as well!

It is National Custodian’s Day and these two gentlemen, Miguel and Mario, are some of the friendliest and hard working staff at our school. This is a small thank you to our entire team, including our evening team, for taking care of our school and making it a place people love!

WJHS was recognized by the Arkansas Department of Education's 2023 Schools on the Move Towards Excellence Report for accelerating student learning at a rate higher than 97.5% of schools in the state.

Aloha! Our next Pep Rally is on Thursday at 3 PM and we are excited! Parents are welcome to attend!

A big welcome to Megan Benton, our new theater and forensics teacher! Bio: I grew up in Rogers, and graduated from Texas Christian University in Ft. Worth. (Go Frogs!) I have an amazing daughter, Maron, who just turned 5 months old and two dogs, Fiona and Delta. I have been teaching for 16 years all over the United States from Washington, DC to Santa Fe, NM. I love to spend time with my family and friends, read any kind of book, and volunteer at Helping Hands. I enjoy traveling with my family in our RV, named Bessie, and I have been in love with Theatre and History for as long as I can remember. I adore coffee and my favorite color is purple.

Students- please consider auditioning for this classic! Ms. Benton is available in room 400 if you have questions.

Washington Junior High recently received the distinction of being a high-achievement and high-growth school for all students, including those who are economically disadvantaged. This is a big achievement and a testament to our amazing teachers and staff! IDs are required at all times on school property. District policy requires a $1 fee if a student forgets their ID to get a required temporary ID for the day and $5 if it needs to be replaced. Students should tie their ID on their backpacks when they get home so they don’t forget them the next day. Thanks for helping us with this new layer of safety and security!

Today Mrs. Pollreis and her yearbook kids had the opportunity to engage in a workshop to get the processes and creativity flowing. The yearbook is no small endeavor and takes months of prep and coordination. We can’t to see them in action this year at events and behind the scenes doing all of the editing!

Wildcat Families- tomorrow we will discuss the Student Handbook during Advisory. All 7th-12th grade Bentonville Schools students must now wear an ID at all times while on school property. Thanks for your help with this layer of safety on our campuses!

Reminder: Open House is Monday from 4:30-6:30. We can't wait to see you!

We welcome all 7th graders and new-to-district 8th graders to Wildcat Welcome! Come see the building, meet some amazing student leaders, and even get a fly school shirt! Parents- please drop off your students at 9 in front of the school and pick them up at 11. See you Friday!

Earlier this summer, some members of our choir attended ACC Choir Camp! Our outstanding performers are one example of what makes WJHS amazing!

Open House on August 14!

We are excited to welcome our 7th graders and new-to-Bentonville 8th graders to Wildcat Welcome on August 4 from 9-11 AM! This event will allow students to get to know all things WJHS and meet some amazing student leaders. Parents- please drop your child off at the gym entrance in front of the school.
