Congratulations to two of our very own Ardis Ann Blazers!
Our students have done it again! The AAMS Blazers never stop shooting for the STARS as they continue to work hard in order to achieve great things.
Many of our students entered a T-shirt design contest sponsored by Kendrick Fincher: Hydration for Life Foundation. Their mission is to "promote proper hydration and prevent heat illness through education and supporting activities".
Two of our very own Blazers are finalists in the 2023 Youth Run T-shirt Design contest. Congratulations to Rush Neufer (6th grade) and Prerna Prashant (5th grade).
Please think about placing a VOTE for our Blazers! Voting is open March 1st through March 31st with the winner being announced Monday, April 3rd. The design receiving the most votes will be printed on the 25th Annual Race to Hydrate Youth Run T-Shirt. They will also receive a $100 cash prize, $100 for their school's art department and a complimentary shirt for themselves and their parents.

Wow...! This school year seems to be flying by. It is hard to believe that it is already March.
Take a quick look at everything happening here in the month of March and don't forget to "Spring Forward" an hour Sunday, March 12th for Daylight Savings Time.
National School Counseling Week: Feb 6-10
It's National School Counselors Week next week and it is always a great time to promote what School Counselors do to help support students, parents and staff. We thought it might be fun after a week iced in at home to have some Spirit Dress up days next week to help describe what School Counselors do.
These are easy dress up days, something that everyone might already have in their closet. Easy days to help promote something so important for our students, parents and staff. Of course, we think our School Counselors are the very best. We hope you all have had the pleasure of a positive interaction with one of our School Counselors. If not, drop them an email. They are always here to help support you and your child in every way possible.

A huge Blazer Shout-out to Sam Barney, winner of the Benton County Spelling Bee. Sam will goon to complete in the Arkansas State Spelling Bee in Little Rock this March.

Welcome Back, Friends! We are so happy to see everyone today. We most certainly have missed the smiles and laughter throughout the hallways. Hoping everyone had a wonderful Winter Break.
The AAMS Library is partnering with Altrusa of Bella Vista to collect books for students in our area. Beginning Mon, Dec. 5th please considering donating gently used books of all ages. Collection boxes will be outside the library doors. The book drive will conclude Dec. 16th.
As we welcome back our AAMS Blazer students today, we know just how thankful we truly are. Their laughter and smiles were missed last week, but we all know just how important it is to recharge. Thank you for sharing your kiddos with us. We are truly appreciative and thankful. We look forward to several exciting weeks before Winter Break!

In the News with PTO! November happenings....
Coins for Calm Fundraiser! Student Council is trying to raise enough funds to purchase every student at AAMS to have a Calming Strip on their chrome books. Send in any and all change (paper money is fine too) for a homeroom challenge. The homeroom with the most will pie their teacher and principal in the face! We still need right at $1000. Our goal is $1500..... Way to go, Blazers. Keep Shining Bright!

Zone 4 School Board Candidate Forum: Tuesday, October 11th at 6pm at AAMS.
Anyone know what today is? .... Yeah, our Principal McAuliffe didn't either until our entire student body welcomed him this morning one by one with a silent Hershey Hug on his desk. Principal McAuliffe stood very confused as students continued to make their way through his office and quietly set down their "Hug" for the day. The students kept a very tight lip and no one let it slip. It was a wonderful way to start a Monday morning. The students had a blast and Principal McAuliffe couldn't hide his laughter throughout the entire ordeal. He was such a GREAT sport.... I mean, that is what you do for "National Hug A Kevin Day".....
I think Principal McAuliffe will have enough "Hugs" to last him quite a while!
Help us celebrate National Coaches Week and "Dress like a Coach" tomorrow, October 4th. Grab those tall tube socks, your stopwatch, you hat and wrist bands and show us just what a Championship Winning Coach looks like to you! Have some fun!
