Calling all writers! Join us for a two-week experience at Young Writers Camp during the last two weeks of June (June 19-23 and 26-30). Partnering with The University of Arkansas and The National Writing Project, BWHS Young Writers Camp allows students (rising 9th-12th graders) to immerse themselves in a creative writing atmosphere and hone their craft alongside like-minded students and staff. The 2023 Young Writers Camp will be led by BWHS English teachers Mr. Jostad, Mr. Madsen, and Ms. Spicer. Drawing on inspiration from field trips throughout the diverse Northwest Arkansas community, camp writers can expect to hone their poetry, fiction, and nonfiction writing skills as they encounter legendary NWA figures and local lore. Please see the attached flyer for more information, and if interested, complete the Google Form in our Student Announcements post by May 5th. @bentonvilleschools #whereexcellencelives
