The Work Based Learning program brought in guest speakers last week from Kellanova. Thank you to Donnelly, Stephanie and Adriene for sharing with our students about your careers. An additional thank you to Erica from Junior Achievement who helped to set up this event.






Mrs. Jennifer Howard's Food Safety and Nutrition students really enjoyed learning about Meals Ready-to-Eat (MREs) from SGT Jadon Price of the Arkansas Army National Guard. They even got to make and taste some!










Speech and Debate Coach Jessica Skordal was awarded the
Arkansas Communication and Theatre Arts Association Teacher of the Year. She was nominated as an individual who “champions the importance of educational opportunities for Arkansas’ students to think for themselves.” As ACTAA Teacher of the Year, Skordal will be nominated for the national Outstanding Speech, Debate, & Theatre Educator award to be selected in the spring. Congratulations, Mrs. Skordal!

September 15th marked the start of National Hispanic American Heritage Month, and Destiny Headley and Khloe Diaz wanted to share their heritage with their classmates . They asked their teacher, Ms. Jenny Opdenbrouw, if they could present about their home countries of Panama and El Salvador, leading to wonderful questions and conversations in class.
