The BWHS Dazzlers dance team has made it to finals in hip-hop dance, placing them in the top 10 teams nationally! They will compete for the championship tomorrow in Orlando. Congratulations, dancers!

AP Capstone students showcased their hard work and innovative research at our AP Research Poster Night this week. It was a great evening of learning and collaboration as our talented scholars shared their ongoing research projects with the community.

Last month, our rising Wolverines visited us from the junior highs, touring campus and heard from teachers and students about the many programs available in high school. Parents, don't forget to join us this week for Parent University to learn more about what your 8th grader can expect in high school. Parent University is hosted at BWHS on on January 14 at 7 PM.

The Mathematics department hosted their first Student Recognition Breakfast. Our math students were celebrated for their hard work, positive attitudes, and contributions to their classroom.

Sophomore Camila Gonzalez recently earned National Championship after competing at the invitation-only PPA Tour Pickleball Tournament. She was the only student from Arkansas to compete and the first 16U Doubles National Champion in the history of the PPA. Congratulations, Cami!

The BWHS Art Club was invited to @bfas_nwa to create portraits for adoptable pets, and had an absolute blast! Portraits will be featured on a float in the Bentonville Christmas Parade tonight, and adopters will get to keep the pet portrait of their new best buddy.










"The staff of @bwhsyawp recently held a fundraiser and winter showcase reading event at @twofriendsbooks! Eight student writers auditioned with the staff and shared their original prose and poetry in front of a packed house. Thank you to Two Friends Books for generously allowing them to use their cozy space, and thanks to the writers and readers who continuously remind us that stories bring people together and words matter deeply.

Veera Sai Joshik Unnam, Ronak Pai, and Lalit Aditiya Kameshawaran have been named finalists in the prestigious Samsung Solve for Tomorrow national STEM competition. Their project, a mobile-phone based multi-modal oral cancer diagnosis system that would localize and diagnose oral cancer through an affordable and non-intrusive diagnosis method, earned them a finalist spot in the competition and a $2,500 prize. They have the opportunity to be named state finalists, which will be announced in March.

The English department recently honored some outstanding students at our first Student Recognition Breakfast. Nominated by their teachers, each student received an award for the great work, exemplary behavior, or impressive growth they've demonstrated in the classroom.

Congratulations to all the orchestra students who recently participated in the All-Region Clinic and concert. These talented musicians put on an amazing performance, and we are so proud of all these students!


Last week, thirteen Wolverine student athletes signed their National Letter of Intent, committing to continuing their athletic career in college. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes, their families, and their coaches!



Congratulations to senior Ronak Pai on his winning of Congressman Womack's Congressional App Challenge! Ronak is a student in AP Computer Science A and Ignite. He created an app called Veteran Connect that won first place in this year's contest! #wearewest
