Before Spring Break, the BWHS Fashion Club competed in an unconventional materials challenge, creating four completed looks out of found or discarded items. Their materials included CDs, aluminum foil, coffee filters, magazines and more.



Our Samsung Solve for Tomorrow team continues to impress! Veera Sai Joshik Unnam, Ronak Pai and Lalit Aditiya Kameshawaran are one of just ten teams in the nation to be named national finalists. They will head to Washington, D.C. later this month to pitch their Oral Scan app to a group of Samsung executives. Three of the ten finalists will be selected as national winners!
Our very own principal Dr. Jonathon Guthrie is the Arkansas High School Principal of the Year! Dr. Guthrie was surprised with the award today at a pep rally by Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators members.
This award is given to an Arkansas secondary-level principal who has provided high-quality learning opportunities and displayed exceptional leadership skills.
Dr. Guthrie has been the principal at Bentonville West since it opened and has focused on student and staff safety, engagement and a sense of belonging in his time at West. #wearewest

Symphonic and Chamber Orchestras both received Superior Ratings this weekend at their concert assessment in Fort Smith. Congratulations to these talented musicians and their director, Ms. Mary Kelly!

Investing Club recently welcomed guest speaker Tom Douglass, CEO & Founder of Catapult Consulting. He spoke to students about leadership, impressions we leave, and the need for not only setting goals, but also creating practical/tangible paths to goal acquisition.

Anatomy & Physiology classes recently dissected sheep hearts after learning about the structures and blood flow through the human heart. They applied their knowledge of the human heart to the sheep heart to better understand its structure and function.

Family & Consumer Science students created monsters based on Centerton Gamble kindergartener drawings. They designed and sewed each monster, and then had the opportunity to deliver them! In all, 70 FACS students made 139 hand sewn custom monsters this year!
