
Our cheer team took first place in their division over the weekend!! Sophia Yordan won first in the Individual tumbling competition and Carsyn Shumway won first in the Individual jump competition! Way to go, Grizzlies!!




@PLTW Medical Detective students comparing the anatomy of human brains to sheep brains as we learn how the brain works. Later students will learn what happens when there is dysfunction in the brain.








Our Special Olympics team went bowling this week and got to compete with other schools in the region. They won LOTS of ribbons, and we're so proud of them! We have the best Grizzlies!






This week is Choir's Spirit Week, and yesterday was "Mr. Strickler Day!" Some of our students and staff really came together to pull it off. Grimsley wouldn't be the same without him, and we appreciate all he does to "have a great and powerful day of learning at Grimsley Junior High!"

The Ghost Gala on Friday was a spooktacular success! We had face paintings, inflatables, raffles, dancing, and more! You can see by their faces that our Grizzlies clearly had a blast!











We want to give a huge thank you to G3 Energy & Nutrition for providing drinks for all our teachers last night during our parent/teacher conferences! It was just the boost we all needed to get through a long day successfully. We love our local businesses and always appreciate your support for our school, students, and staff!




Coffee lovers, you will enjoy seeing our GJHS 7th grade Visual Art student's work. They are creating a still-life painting with coffee. Drop by to see and smell the coffee creations by our young artists!


GJHS will have four published artists through the Celebrating Art Contest this Fall. Each piece of Art that is entered into the contest is reviewed by judges/educators to select the top 45% to be published. Please congratulate 7th-grade Visual Artists Zachary Donalson, Jacob Thomas, Cooper Cummings, and Maliiha Zainab for having their work selected for publication!

Leadership students were tasked with planning & implementing team building exercises in class. Today teams practiced communication, problem solving, teamwork & critical thinking through the student led exercises.





8th grade students will be participating in job shadowing on May 20 and 21, 2024. Partnering with community members is a great way to help our students succeed in an increasingly complex global world. Book Fair Week starts next week, and it's always more fun with a competition! Penny Wars will commence starting THIS Friday during lunches and will run through the end of next week. Bring your $ to support your English teacher! Pennies are positive (help your teacher!) and silver & paper are negative (hurt the competition!). The teachers from each grade with the most positive total will win $100 in books for their classroom library which YOU will get to check out and read! Let's show them our support, Grizzlies!
