Our 4th graders learned important electrical safety tips through an engaging presentation that taught them how to stay safe around electricity at home and in the community.

To make the day even more exciting, students in all grades enjoyed a fun-filled magic "Making Accidents Disappear" show that kept everyone laughing and amazed! 🎩✨

We appreciate our community partners for helping make learning both educational and memorable for our students!

Our 1st graders took a step back in time as they learned what life was like in the Ozarks during the 1800s! Students explored real artifacts from the time period, made homemade butter, and even practiced weaving on a loom. What a fun hands-on way to bring history to life! 🧈🧵🏡

We’re celebrating some exciting news at SCAA 🎉

A huge congratulations to Mr. Timbrel and Mrs. Edwards for being awarded grants from the Bentonville Schools Foundation!

💃 Mr. Timbrel was awarded a grant to bring a dance instructor to Sugar Creek, giving students a fun and engaging way to express themselves through movement.

📚 Mrs. Edwards received a grant to celebrate and support our young authors in the library—helping foster creativity, confidence, and a love of writing in our students.

We’re so grateful to the Bentonville Schools Foundation for investing in opportunities that enrich learning and inspire our students every day. 💙

Our 3rd grade students recently had an incredible opportunity to visit the Common Threads: America 250 exhibit at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art!

During their visit, students not only explored the exhibit but also engaged directly with talented quilters who are bringing student-designed quilt squares to life as part of a collaborative art installation. It was inspiring to see creativity, history, and community come together in such a meaningful way.

Experiences like this help our students see how their ideas can become part of something bigger—and leave a lasting impact through art.

🤖 Our kindergarten students put their creativity and math skills to work in a fun and innovative way! Using recycled materials, they designed and built their own robots—each one as unique as its creator. 🤖

What made this project even more exciting was how students incorporated ten frames and creative decorations to represent numbers up to 20. By combining hands-on building with math concepts, they were able to deepen their understanding while expressing their imagination.

Learning truly came to life as students connected creativity, problem-solving, and early numeracy in one engaging experience!

This week we’re celebrating Assistant Principal Week, and we couldn’t let it pass without giving a shoutout to the one and only Mr. Antuna! 👏 His calming presence and positive attitude help create a safe and supportive environment for all.

When he’s not keeping things running smoothly, you might catch him perfecting his golf swing (watch out, PGA 👀) or sharing his latest thoughts on the Dodgers—win or lose, the commentary is always strong!

Thank you, Mr. Antuna, for your patience, your humor, and your unwavering support for our students and staff. We appreciate you more than you know! ⚾⛳💙
