
Before Thanksgiving, Mrs. Yordy, Mrs. Fielding, and Mrs. Misenhimer took their classes on a field trip to Park Springs Park. Look at those smiles!

Thank you Mr. Wolfe for coming to The Creek today to teach our 4th graders about waves. We love hands-on learning!






Mrs. Looney's 1st-grade class is gathering data for science. 🔬 They documented the sun's position throughout the day. 🌞 Then, they looked for patterns to help them make predictions before their next observation. 🔭


This month in the library, 3rd and 4th graders had a S.T.E.M. challenge to build a bridge that could withstand the weight of 21 toy elephants. 🐘
Each group had a different mixture of materials they could use. They had to use creative thinking and collaboration. Here are some of the successful bridges.

🎉Congratulations to our October student of the month, Rory from Mrs. Smith's class, and our November student of the month, Ruby from Mrs. Jordan's class. These students displayed amazing effort, exemplary behavior, and respect for all at Sugar Creek and we are so proud of them. 🥇



Mrs. Carvell's kindergarten class got to be architects today. They used two and three-dimensional shapes to build homes for their stuffies.





🏛️What a fantastic end to 2nd grade's Ancient Greece unit. These young historians brought the stories they learned about to life in their dioramas. Then, they had their own "Olympic Games" where students competed in events just like they did in Ancient Greece! 🏅

🌷4th grade put their green thumbs to work at the True Colors Farm by PerspectAbility today. They planted hundreds of tulip bulbs!






Mrs. Looney's first-grade class is word building today. 🚧 That magic 'e' can be quite tricky, but these short vowel words are under construction. 👷♀️ Good thing they are wearing their safety gear!

Mrs. Blades' 4th grade dissected some flowers as part of their science lesson this week. Thank you, Matkins Flowers and Greenhouse for the flower donation!

Today starts Bike to School Week. Mr. Antuna will be out counting bikes this week to see how many students are taking on the challenge!

Today begins our Reading Bingo Challenge. 📚 All students (K-4) have the opportunity to read and complete 5 bingo boxes in a row for a prize. They will also get their picture taken for the Reading Superstar Board in the library.
Grown-ups, your job is to initial in a box (just one per day please) once it is complete. Students can bring their bingo to the library after completing a row for their prize.
