Sugar Creek had a special guest today! First Mr. Grinch had to check in at the office and get a badge. :) Then Mr. Grinch read a story to some of our students, visited with them at recess, and even helped some kindergarten students with their counting. I think the students at Sugar Creek helped the Grinch's heart grow today!

A group of staff members from Sugar Creek recently helped at a local food truck. It was a great night of volunteering in our community! The staff at Sugar Creek are committed to helping our students inside and outside our school walls. We had many more volunteers but it was hard to get another group picture because they were busy serving and enjoying our community.

Sugar Creek had a blast celebrating Choose Love at school today and on the Bentonville Square tonight! We loved seeing our school families and community join together for an amazing event!
Join us tomorrow night on the Bentonville Square! You can hear from founder Scarlett Lewis, watch musical performances from Bentonville students, eat at local food trucks, and visit booths sponsored by our schools. We hope to see you there!

October is National Principal Month and Sugar Creek is blessed to have Dr. Stephanie Summerford as our principal. Our students have showered her with notes of appreciation. Dr. Summerford leads with her heart and creates a culture and school that everyone is excited to be a part of!

Sugar Creek Elementary is proud to support the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement. This movement promotes that we live with courage, show compassion, extend gratitude and offer forgiveness. This year’s Choose Love celebration is November 9 on the Bentonville Square.
Last night we held a wonderful Literacy Night and Kick Off to our Read-a-Thon. SCE families were able to enjoy stations with different literacy learning activities and crafts. We also enjoyed Kona ice and face painting. It was a great night at the Creek!
