All Bentonville Reads kicks off next Friday. We can't wait!!

Dear VES families,
Please check your child's folder this afternoon about a special fundraiser that is happening at Vaughn. Students have the opportunity to purchase either a pre-made friendship bracelet or make their own bracelet.
All funds raised will be used to sponsor a scholarship for one BWHS senior that is planning to study or work in a STEM related program after graduation. Last year during our 1st annual scholarship fundraiser, we were able to raise over $700 that went to one amazing West student! This year I'm excited to extend our support to our own students here at Vaughn (more information to come).
All orders are due by Friday, February 2nd and we will fulfill orders the first week of March.

January is National Mentoring Month. At Vaughn we have a program called Eagle Buddies. It consists of adults in the community that come a couple times a month to have lunch with a student and build connections.
Thank you to Christie Peeler, Joanne York, Willie Cowgur, Tyler Offutt, and Marianna Reeves. You are making a difference each day for our students! Mentoring Matters! If you are i treated in your child having a lunch buddy reach out to, Marisa Snow, msnow@bentonvillek12.org.

Please be sure to send all Chromebooks and chargers to school tomorrow!

Our kindergarten farmers have been exploring the fascinating world of farms, from planting seeds to understanding the importance of animals in agriculture. 🌱🚜
To add an extra dose of excitement, Mrs. Amos brought her family's award-winning show cow for a special visit at the end of the unit.🐄🎉 Our kindergarteners had the opportunity to meet and learn more about this gentle giant, bringing their farm adventures to life. Thank you, Mrs. Amos!

Next week is Spirit Week!

Vaughn Elementary is partnering with All Kids Bike on their mission to teach every child how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE classes. The All Kids Bike Learn-to-Ride Program equips schools with everything needed to teach children how to ride a bike. The program includes 24 balance bikes and pedal conversion kits, helmets, storage, and a structured curriculum.
Our goal is to raise $9,000 so we can offer this confidence-building experience to our students for years to come, but we need your help. If you are interested in donating, please visit the VES crowdfunding page at: https://stridereducationfoundation-bloom.kindful.com/vaughn-elementary-2023/vaughn-elementary
Feel free to share the crowdfunding link above, the QR code below, or our social media posts with anyone who may be interested in supporting the students at Vaughn Elementary.
