This month our staff has been celebrating "December to Remember". Each day during morning announcements, there has been a fabulous prize to win by being a certain number caller. This was such a fun activity for our staff! Today - our final day before break, Mrs. Dunn's class won a Qball microphone! They were so excited, the entire class came to the office to collect their prize. Congratulations to her and all of our winners from each day!

Student Council represented Apple Glen at the Bentonville holiday parade. The theme was "Merry and Bright" and our students made their own costumes! They dressed as light bulbs with battery operated lights and our announcement at the parade was: "Apple Glen Elementary Student Council members are feeling MERRY to represent their school! Apple Glen is the only Visible Learning school in the state, and they shine BRIGHT!" They did a great job :)

Our AGE 3rd graders have been working hard in class! We love seeing all of our students working to problem solve and persevere to learn new material. #AGEGrizzlies #VisibleLearning Mrs. Bridges class learned about problem solving using number lines. Mrs. Dunham's class spent some time writing multi-paragraph essays describing the important systems in the human body. Students learned to write paragraphs with topic sentences, conclusion sentences, and supporting details. They are also practicing giving their writing partners feedback about their writing according to the success criteria. 3rd graders are also learning about Ancient Roman gods and goddesses!
