Today was a colorful day at TJLA!
Woof woof--calling all TJ dogs!!! Furry Friend Friday is coming to the TJ car rider line this Spring! Each pup that comes through the car line on Friday mornings will receive a treat from a staff member. We can't wait to see our TJ pups tomorrow morning!
Tomorrow, the ice cream truck will visit TJ and our tigers will have their choice of a mini Klondike Bar, Jolly Rancher Popsicle, or no-sugar-added Fudgsicle (*menu subject to change). If your tiger has dietary restrictions or these frozen treats aren't a suitable option for your child, please feel free to send a special snack in your child's backpack. Congratulations to our TJ Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Yount, and TJ Classified Staff of the Year, Mrs. Shock! We are thankful to have both of these wonderful ladies as members of our TJ family!

Tomorrow, March 12, is the LAST DAY to register for our TJ color run. The color run will take place during the school day on Friday. The t-shirt order deadline has passed, but participants may wear any white shirt. Registration for the run costs $20 and must be completed in My Payments Plus.

Last week, our upper grade students participated in the Penny Boat Challenge while learning about the rainforest biome. Students considered surface area and weight distribution before constructing a boat made of aluminum foil. We may have some future engineers at TJ because the winning boat held 184 pennies. Nice work Davis, Gray, Lev, and Gracen!

The snow is coming down now, but just last week our TJ Tigers were dreaming of Spring in the city of light and love: Paris, France! If only we were strolling down the Champs-Élysées, stopping for a croissant (and some cheese!) at a sidewalk cafe, and taking a ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Le sigh... We hope you're staying safe and warm, and perhaps planning your next adventure.
