Exercise Science students spent Wednesday visiting the University of Arkansas’s Exercise Science Research Department. They experienced a biomechanics lab, human physiology lab, microbiology research lab, exercise lab, and athletic training/strength and conditioning lab. They were lucky enough to get to participate in running a test and being test subjects.








Yesterday, the BWHS staff had a cookie decorating & karaoke party!

Professional Communication took on two important issues in our community: The Decline of Communication Skills in Teens and Substance Abuse in America. They came up with unique and teen-tailored activities to help combat these challenges. Thank you to our distinguished guests who were on our panel for all of the presentations over two days. Your reflection and feedback have lifted our kids. They felt heard and appreciated, and most importantly, they felt like they could make a difference.

BWHS students earned $11,500 in scholarships and prizes Saturday at the 5th Annual AR HS Art Exhibition. Congratulations to JRosso, YNommesen, KMacias, DHunter, and others with work on display in the gallery at Historic Cane Hill through January. Food Safety and Nutrition would like to thank retired Navy Chef Jack Bell for coming and teaching us how to make puff pastries. The students could choose between savory (with cheese) or sweet (with peaches). The students loved learning how to work with puff pastry and got a nice treat on a Friday. #bwhswolverines #careerstudies







We would like to thank Rosa Buescher, Dr. Wang, and Dr. Lee from the University of Arkansas for coming and speaking to our Food Safety and Nutrition classes. They spoke to us about the Food Science program at the UofA and how to make healthy choices by eating a balanced diet and looking at nutrition labels. Students also participated in a blind taste test with Lays chips. They tried Classic Lays, Lightly Salted Lays and Baked Lays potato chips. #bwhswolverines #careerstudies #uark #lays







Mrs. Myers's Junior & Senior Architecture/CAD students recently got to experience their first "Lunch & Learn" at Harrison French & Associates in Bentonville. Engaging with a panel of experts, including a structural engineer, architect, mechanical engineer, landscape architect, and electrical engineer, they delved into diverse educational and career paths. Professor Larry Foley, an Emmy-award winning documentarian and former chair of the University of Arkansas School of Journalism and Strategic Media, spoke to BWHS students about his legendary career and the steps it takes to become a successful journalist. Foley was accompanied by Bentonville Schools Director of Communications Leslee Wright.
